Collaboration

Listening to Auraria’s Past was built through a combination of community collaboration, historical research, and audio production. The project team worked with displaced Aurarians, their descendants, and community partners to shape the stories told throughout the tour. Those conversations guided the selection of stops, their framing, and the larger goal of making Auraria’s history visible on the present-day campus.

The Tour

The audio tour draws on oral histories, collaborative script development, and narration. Each stop is designed to connect a specific place with the memories, institutions, businesses, homes, and community networks that once shaped the neighborhood.
